Cure for Inability to speak/ Conversion Disorder

I have a friend who has been unable to speak for 14 years and has been diagnosed with Conversion Disorder and CFS...
The funny thing is he once sang the words to a song while in my car. So, he can sing and whisper when very relaxed.
Do you know of any successful treatments?
