my friend is very active and healthy at 50. Weighs 117 lb and is 5.4" tall.
her doctor suggested she take biest 3g, Progesterone 75g and testosterone 1.5g.
She has no menopause simptoms , has had no blood test and he feels she should take for the rest of her life. He even suggests that she would not be able to take these at age 60 if she needed them.please help.

Hi ginamccomas - This is a personal decision that your friend will need to make for herself, and I would advise that she do some research to make an informed decision. It's not clear why her doctor would prescribe hormone therapy at this stage in her life, and without knowing her medical history it's not clear whether she has personal or family history that would indicate this could be harmful. There are a number of articles on our site, and we also have a feature for looking up drugs. To get started, here's an article that examines whether hormone therapy is really needed. https://www.empowher.com/menopause/content/hormone-replacement-therapy-really-necessary?page=0,0
