Thank you for your question and this is a common question. In your teens and 20s, having irregularity with your periods is common. I know you want to know why this happens although there usually is not a perfect answer as to why besides - sometimes this just happens. However, if this continues to occur month to month, you should definitely go to your OBGYN but if this only happened this one month, don't think too much into it. The answer is sometimes it just happens for no apparent reason at all.
