Good day ma'am, i had a brain tumor(Status-post SRS for vestibular schwannoma) removed last 2009 but still i am on an annual MRI to monitor if my tumor is gone. is it possible that my tumor will occur again? I also would like to ask if what is the reason

why i'm also experiencing pain in the back of my neck this past few months.is this something to do with the shunt in me?

Hi Samarena, 

Tumors can recur and this is likely why you are being monitored once a year through an MRI. Although the shunt could be causing you pain or discomfort, this is something you want to ask your doctor about, just to make sure since it only started a couple of months ago, and you had surgery 2 years ago.
