Hi I met someone 3 weeks ago . Turns out his ex and my ex have been talking to each other behind our backs. So him and I started talking and had sex with him last night.
I've lied to him saying I was a virgin but he wanted to know the truth so i told him i wasn't and he said 'I'm no one to judge you. If you've made a mistake you learn from it' he said he wouldn't leave me because I lied to him but after sex he was acting a bit weird and I dropped him off home . I don't know how to act or message him and say something because he said he's falling in love with me just like how I am falling in love with him too. I know it's crazy but I know it's love because everything feels so right when we're together. So what should I do . Would he leave me or be cold to me because we had set too early?

Hi Anon,

Thank you for reaching out to the EmpowHER community for advice about your new situation.

Relationships can be so unpredictable and so it's hard to say what he will do. You can only be responsible for your feelings and what you choose to do.

I would message him and say that you'd like to talk honestly about what happened last night. Hopefully he will respond and want to know your feelings.

You should let him know that you didn't intend to lie about being a virgin, but that you want to start the relationship off on honesty and so you wanted to clean the slate and confess the truth so that you can have a healthy relationship moving forward.

Anytime you have sex early in a relationship you risk getting your heart broken because you have yet to establish a commitment.

Maybe you should spend more time getting to know each other, abstain from sex right now until you guys know you both are in love for sure.

Anon, did this help?

Kristin
