Q:

Has anyone had "her Option" cryo ablation procedure done for heavy bleeding, pms, cramps. I had it done four days ago and my doctor said to expect a watery discharge for about 3 weeks. I have extremely heavy bleeding and severe cramps. Is this normal?

I have fibroids and they cause me to bleed three cycles a month, I went and talked to my DR. and he wanted me to have a her option done for the bleeding but he said it won't destroy the fbroids so later on in life I will have to have a hyst. done. Yuck I"m only in my 20's and I don't want that so I went to the local health and food store and talked to a nutrientiest and he told me to try some natural dietary supplements for 90 days and he promised me my cycles will get back to normal and I will feel better!! yephee I'm going for it. So the name of the supplemants are - #1 -(Name Removed)- this is a natural hormone balance it will help balance hormones, healthy breasts, effortless periods, pms support. #2( Name Removed) this one will help DESTROY the FIBROIDS!!!! one thing if you have fibroids you can't have any! caffeine the caffeine feeds the fibroids. I was a coffee drinker but had to stop drinking because I didn't want to have a hyst. at my age or a her option done. I hope you try these supplements out and I hope this helped!
Thanks

I had this procedure done on August 23,2010. At first it hurt really bad while the doctor was begining the procedure then the novicane kicked in. After the procedure i have had very bad cramps, and light bleeding. I had it done to help with very bad cramps, heavy bleeding, and endometriousus. I really hope it helps me im trying to avoid a hystorectomy.

How long does a person have to wait to have sex? How long does it take for the lining to heal? I had the procedure done with no ill side effects. Water discharge is the only thing happening.

I had that done ten months ago. I in all my life have never had normal periods. And since I have had this done I have a light period every single month.I was kind of hoping I would not have one at all but I was not so lucky. Before the uterun cryoablation I was having very heavy bleading with lots of large clumps of clots.I could not go to work on my first three or four days and even if i did I would end up having to go home to change. My bleeding would last up to eight days. Now my periods only last three to maybe five but they are light and no blood clots. I am still happy with my choice.

I had heavy bleeding too. My doctor found two small fibroids inside my uterus. I had the Myosure procedure which just removed the fibroids. It took less than 2O minutes and I was able to return to work the next day. Heavy bleeding is often caused by firbroids. Make sure you ask your doctors to check for fibroids if you have heavy bleeding symptoms.

Wow I have never heard of this procedure.
I am scheduled to have the heroption procedure in about 3 weeks.
I would love to get your opinion on why you would choice one over the other.

Thanks

If you have fibroids inside the uterus, the HerOption treatment is not suitable to treat them. The Myosure procedure removes the fibroids. Most heavy bleeding is either caused by some hormonal in-balance or some abnormal growth inside the uterus. If you have the HerOption treatment and it fails to give you good results, you will likely need a hysterectomy later in life. However, if you treat the fibroids, this will likely correct your heavy bleeding. Based on you age alone you are too you to have the Cryoablation as I assume you may want children later in life.

Best of luck with you decision.

Hi I have fibroids too, I have a full 7 day period 3 times a month and my Dr. said that the her option will help the bleeding but later in age I will have to have a hysterctomy.. I'm only 29 and don't really want to do a hysterctomy but I'm not sure about the her option either so did this myosure procedure work for your fibroids? and what do they do in the procedure?

The HerOption procedure is not suitable for treating fibroids as it was explained to me. If your fibroids are inside your uterus, then they could be removed witht he Myosure procedure. You should ask you Doctor about it. I found their website and there is lots of good information you can print out. Go to www.myosure.com

Best of luck,

Marie
