im going to take thyroid with celenium and vitamin C. i have been online reading a lot and have taken a protocol from another woman who had similar problems. of course, i will be very sensitive to any changes that take place. i will keep a log of daily activity.
i would love to know if anyone here has taken on their own treatment for this.

im having some tests done next week. i will only be taking a low dose. from what i read it doesnt cause problems. im pretty certain that i do have some issue with thyroid, im hoping that the dr wll be co coperative with treatment. if he is, then i wont self medicate. im not all that confident that he will though. like i said, lower levels can still be in the range that they think is perfectly o.k. but for some people it may be just a tad too low. everyone is different.

judych,
Are you saying that you are self-medicating because you suspect that you have an under-active thyroid? Have you been diagnosed with hypothyroidism? If not, we cannot advise that you take medication without a doctor's prescription. You can take supplements such as vitamins, calcium, protein, etc. but if you suspect hypothyroidism, you should really get diagnosed first before you start taking something that could potentially make it worse.
Best,
Rosa
