heavy bleeding with pain on 7th day of period

Hi its feamle 22 years, normally my periods last for the end of the day 4 or sometimes till the 5th days morning but this time its different there was nothing on the 5th day but suddenly it started heavy bleeding with enormous pain on 6th day and this bleeding is bit different from regular bleeding the flow is a mixed with some blood clots and the situation is not improving eve today(day 7) please help me wether its normal or anything serious and what should I do........

Thank you for visiting the EmpowHER community and sharing your question! A normal period can last up to 5 or 7 days, but what you are experiencing needs to be discussed with your doctor. I don't want to alarm you, but since you are having blood clots and you are bleeding again, you need to call your doctor.

Anonymous - You asked whether what you were experiencing was normal. It is not normal. You need to see a doctor to get an exam and accurate diagnosis as to what is causing the pain and clotting. Please schedule your appointment as soon as you can. Pam
