Everything you should know about menstrual irregularity can be found in a clear and concise fashion from an unbiased gynecology expert in a book just releasesed in January entitled Ask Your Gynecologist: Answers to Over 200 questions (Sometimes Embarrassing) Women Ask through Every Age and Stage of Their Lives

Hi Anon,

Thanks for your question. It's unlikely that at age 31 your are having symptoms of menopause. Most women start in their 40's to experience symptoms. Many other conditions and things can cause changes to a woman's cycle. Such as hormonal imbalance due to thyroid disorders, stress, certain medications, endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts and many other. You need to see your gynecologist soon and explain the changes you are experiencing. Hope this helps?

Best of luck,

Daisy
