I have been taking the gianvi pill for about 5-6 months now but this month 3 days before thanksgiving I missed a total of 3 pills. I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on thanksgiving and he ejaculated inside of me. But earlier that day I did double up on the pill before we had sex. 3-4 days after thanksgiving I missed 3-4 pills but then started taking them. Recently I have been feeling weird like my boobs would get a little sore but not too much and other things. I have been pregnant before and the symptoms were different then the ones that I have now. I also have not had my period for about 2 months and I dont take the pills to skip my period anymore. Could I be pregnant? I go see my doctor on the 22nd of this month and I am really scared that I could be pregnant. I need some advice please thank you.

Hi lovfy,

Thank you for your question and welcome to Empowher. The reality of your question is there certainly a possibility. The birth control pill itself is not a 100% guarentee that you will not got pregnant, therefore you should always use condoms as well. Condoms also protect you from sexually transmitted diseases.

Since you only missed your pills a week ago, the symptoms you are explaining certainly may be from you missing your pills as your body may be pre-menstrual. Remember that pregnancy and pre-menstrual symptoms often mimic each other and this would be extremely early for you to be experiencing pregnancy symptoms. It may just be your concern for pregnancy that is causing the symptoms. We have all been there.

As there is no instant response to your question at this time, unfortunately, you will have to wait and see if you miss a period. Since you are seeing your doctor on the 22nd, you should have a blood test taken to see if you are pregnant. I hope this helps. Please keep us posted on your results and good luck.
