Q:

Hi, I usually catch my period the middle or ending of each month and it would last for 6-7 days, but this month my period came the first two days were very heavy and then it stopped on the 4 day. What does that mean?

Dear Anon.

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Periods can (for some women) occasionally come late or early, last longer or shorter in duration. It's usually nothing to worry about. This can be caused by hormonal and lifestyle changes, stress or anxiety that disrupt the balance of your body. Irregularities can also happen during peri-menopause or on birth control. If there are no other concerning symptoms, I'd not worry.
