Q:

How can we have a normal sex life?

My bf and I have been together 3 yrs. Our sex life is almost non existent. I noticed a huge decline after the first year. I have asked many times for more intimacy but all this does is push him away and tell me he is turned off now because of our fights on this subject. Right now we have sex about once a month. When we do, it is only about him and he never even attempts to stimulate or pleasure me. I am young and want to be desired and taken care of too but trying to communicate this brings no change. What can I do from here?

HI Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  It's important to discuss how you feel with your boyfriend.  Perhaps, he should see a doctor and have his hormones level checked.  He might have a low libido.  This can happen at any age, from medication, stress, depression and many other causes. Or you might also want to seek counseling to save the relationship.

Best,

Daisy
