Thank you for your question and welcome to Empowher. It is often suggested that after a baby is born, women should wait at least 6 weeks before attempting sexual intercourse. It mainly depends on how the baby was delivered. If you have questions, you should contact the treating physician to be certain of the time frame. I hope this helps.
