Thank you for writing - that is an interesting question.

Patient X - the first person, was millennia ago - literally thousands of years ago. The origin of lice for humans could have come from animals or simply manifested itself the way any bug does. It is not known. Lice has been mentioned as far back as Ancient Egypt.
Since then, we all get it from someone - or something - else.
