Anon - Thanks for your question, which is really two questions needing two separate answers.
September 2, 2010 - 5:25pmFirst, how fast can you contract HPV after intercourse? Since the HPV virus is spread through sexual contact it will be contracted during intercourse.
Second, you asked how fast HPV can be detected. The answer is that HPV detection is highly variable - it can be weeks, months and even years before it is detected since the virus can remain dormant in the body and not be detectable.
