Hello. Thank you for posting.

We don't know who you have asked, so we can't say why you were not given an answer. Was it your doctor?

If you are asking us, we answer member questions within 24 hours in the order they come in.

Hepatitis A is a liver disease caused by a virus. Children with the disease may not have any symptoms. Most adults with the disease are ill for up to eight weeks. You are most contagious soon after you are infected. Adults who are otherwise healthy are no longer contagious two weeks after the illness begins. Children and people with weak immune systems may be contagious for up to six months.

best,

Helena
