I do not like to talk about it, my mind is filled with 'things' that torture me.

Hi Silent,

I'm sorry to hear that you are suffering from depression, What kinds of things are torturing you? Do you need help finding a therapist in your area?

Treatment may involve the use of medicine, psychotherapy, or the use of both.

Severe depression usually requires hospital care and the use of drugs, such as olanzapine .

Antidepressant Medications

Up to 70% of depressed patients find relief from their symptoms with medicine. They can take 2-6 weeks to reach their maximum effectiveness. The medications include:

Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs)

Unfortunately, it seems as though you need to find professional help because you describe yourself as someone who doesn't like to talk to many about your depression. It is important that you do seek help since many times depression cannot be cured without treatment.

Please let us know if you would like some help finding someone in your area.
