My friend is having a hysterectomy and another very serious operation next week and her work is only allowing her two weeks off. How is this possible? How can I help her? She needs at least 4 weeks off but her job won't let her. Does anyone know who I can contact? This is in Wisconsin.

Hi Anonymous,

It is common to have 4-6 weeks off when you have a hysterectomy. The healing process may take a little time for recovery. Every individual is different and following up with your physician is common. It actually depends on what kind of surgical procedure they use and asking your physician would be the best way to find out which one is right for you.

Good luck,

Missie
