Have you noticed any symptoms such as hot flashes, skin and vaginal dryness, a change in your sleep pattern? These and other changes are signals that you're probably in peri-menopuse, the early stage of menopause. While the median age of menopause is 51 years of age, many women begin menopause in their forties, late or even mid-thirties. Some women experience major discomfort and difficult symptoms, others just sail through this period of great change when estrogen levels trend lower. However, there are many remedies for specific symptoms.

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER.

Are you beginning to experience any of the symptoms associated with menopause? One of the first signs of perimenopause is irregularities in the menstrual cycle.

Some women notice the signs of perimenopause as early as their late 30s. Perimenopause is the time when estrogen levels begin to fluctuate.

Regards,
Maryann
