Hi Idanastor,

At 47, it can be very difficult for you to conceive on your own. We don't really know anything about your health so we don't know whether or not you may be going through Perimenopause already.

After 35, your egg production decreases, at 40, it decreases even more..and so on. I'm not saying that you can't conceive on your own-- just that it may not be as easy as it once was. Other things you need to take into consideration are risks associated with pregnancies in your late 40's and actually starting to raise a child all over again.

Your OB/GYN is the best person to tell you about the risks and if you would be able to conceive on your own. But only you can determine if you are healthy enough, mentally, to bring on the responsibility of raising a baby at possibly 50 years old.
