Hello Anon
Thank you for writing.
The area around your neck/throat may be red due to the heat of the water when you take a shower. A hot shower can cause a red chest and neck area, regardless of your thyroid condition. If you take cooler showers, you may find this redness leaves.
March 23, 2018 - 4:30amAre you on medication for your thyroid condition? Check to see if redness of the skin in this area is a side effect. If not, contact your doctor to see if he/she knows why this may be happening.
Best,
Susan
