Around 5 weeks ago I started to be awoken gasping for breath and feeling like someone is pushing on my chest. This has happened several times since. Since then I have suffered from bad heart palpatations, hot flushes, dizzyness, blurred and tunnel vision, headaches, nausea, extreme fatigue and a feeling of general hazyness. My appetite is also ridiculously strong. I am always always hungry, and yet not putting on any weight. In fact I've lost a little.
I have 2 children. One is nearly 3yrs and the other 6 months, who I am still breast feeding.
I hope you can give me a little help.
Thanks

Hi Anonymous,

We are glad to hear that you went to the hospital. You did not come across snappy in your post, I think we were mainly concerned for you and your health as your symptoms were pretty severe and well noted as anemia should be dealt with by a physician.

Glad to hear that you are doing better now and hopefully being aware of your anemia now will help you with your above mentioned symptoms. Can you keep us updated on your progress? You will certainly help other women in the future too.

Best of Health,
Missie

Right guys, firstly may I add that my husband is currently off work helping me out with the kids, so I am certainly no threat to them.
I would never ever put my kids in danger. They always come first.
Secondly, I only posted something on here in the hope that I might get a few suggestions as to what it could be whilst I WAIT FOR BLOOD TEST RESULTS to COME BACK from my GP who I saw 2 weeks ago.
I thought some one on here would have maybe experienced something the same. And could cure my curiosity whilst I wait.
Anyway, the tests came back and I am just severely anemic! So rest, steak and iron tablets for me.
The weight loss thing is apparently due to me breastfeeding a baby who is having a big growth spurt.
So sorry if I come across as a little snappy, and perhaps I didn't put enough info in my 1st post.
But I would always do what is necessary for the sake of my gorgeous kiddies.
Thank you for taking the time to look and reply though.

I'm so relieved to hear it is just anemia! To be honest, those are symptoms of TB and that is why I so strongly urged you to seek medical care right away. I didn't want to scare you with that thought, however.

Take care and thank you for the update!

Anonymous, you need to see a health care provider as soon as possible.

These are symptoms of several illnesses, some of which could be contagious and harmful to your children. Please do not wait. Make an appointment today.

Let us know what happens.
