It is important to call your doctor, as bleeding for more than 7-10 days is considered "irregular bleeding" and is a condition that needs to be medically evaluated.
Some women experience this, and there can be many different reasons or causes for prolonged bleeding, including fibroids or cysts. These are both benign (non-cancerous) and easily treated.
