Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  Many thing can cause weight gain, from medications, stress, menopause, thyroid changes and many other.  Many trying a new plan of exercise daily, might help to reduce the weight gain.  You should always let your doctor know first of any new exercise program.  Also, he might suggest having blood work done, to know if there's any changes in your body.

Hope this was helpful?

Best,

Daisy
