Hi An,
Polyps are small, benign growths on the lining of the uterine wall (uterine polyps) that may cause heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding.
Here is an article to explain more about the heavy bleeding, and other things that can cause it: What Causes Heavy Menstrual Bleeding?
Glad you were able to get a diagnosis that it's polyps. Did the doctor say you need to have them removed, or do they think they will go away on their own?
Here is more information about treatment options you can go over with your doctor as needed: Uterine Polyps Treatment Options

Hi an,
Thanks for joining EmpowHER. Endometrial hyperplasia is a precancerous thickening of the endometrium. It is common with this condition to experience prolonged and heavy periods. It is important to receive proper treatment from a doctor, so if you are to be in that country for some time, you may want to ask where to get medical care from. Treatment may include birth control pills, other medication, or a D&C. In severe cases, your doctor may suggest hysterectomy. From what I've read, the condition could lead to cancer, so please keep up with appointments with a doctor.
Please let us know how you are doing.

Hi Anonymous,
Thank you for your question and for finding EmpowHER. I'm having trouble understanding what you are experiencing. Is this your first time having a period, or do you have a condition (what is pelvic US?).
Please explain more what is going on. If you have been under the care of a medical professional, you can go back there for help, or call there and ask to talk with a nurse for followup care. You can explain to them what you are concerned about and they will help you.
Good luck and let us know how you are doing.
