Hi anon,
Can you provide more information?
- Are you currently using any type of hormonal birth control (ie, pill)?
- Are your periods usually regular, and if so, do you know how long your cycles usually are (from "bleeding day 1" of one period to "bleeding day 1" of the subsequent period)?
- What is your age (just by generation...teen, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60...)
Women can have irregular periods, but the "norm" is to experience bleeding that only lasts up to 7 days (is 9 days of bleeding your usual/typical for you?). Since you are asking about this, I assume this is the first time it has happened that you began bleeding so soon after your period ended, and this can be normal for some women (if it happens infrequently), or it could indicate an underlying medical condition.
Depending on the answers to the questions above, you may want to call your Gynecologist, and ask if an appointment is necessary for you.
