i had a thyriod problem 3 yrs ago it was dignosed due to my irregular mentruation .was perscribed medication but then aftr a year o so my menstruation came to being regular and i stopped on the medication .

now i want to get pregnant should i continue with the medication or can forget about it.. since the previous test showed it was normal.?

Hi Anon,

Have you been on your medications? You said that after a year your period was normal so you stopped the meds-- what made you get back on them? Your thyroid levels and prognosis are something that you need to ask your doctor about. If he/she thinks that it is a good idea to come off the medications then by all means. But the best person to ask this question to is the person who is treating you, knows your history, and has all of your lab results on hand. You may not even have to visit him if you say that your lab results are all normal now, you can probably just give the office a call.
