Hi,
I just want you to know that when i was younger i went through the same EXACT thing. I would bleed for 2 weeks, be off for a week, then bleed again for 3 weeks. The Dr's put me on a BC and it really helped straighten it out. I would also have horrible cramps, and bleeding. I went to PPH and they gave me a low-dose hormone.
Give it a try!

Hi Anon,
Welcome to EmpowHER. It all depends who told you it's normal. Your doctor? A normal cycle can range from 3-7 days for most women with a regular cycle. Many conditions can cause bleeding that's not normal. Such as ovarian cysts, endometriosis, endometrial cancer, pelvic inflammatory disease and many other. You need to see your doctor or a gynecologist if you have not done so. It's very important to know what can be causing the bleeding and find treatment for it. Prolonged bleeding can lead to other complications if not treated on time. Hope this has helped?
Best,
Daisy
