I am 46 fairly fit but slightly overweight, exercise on a regular basis, eat well etc. about 7 years ago after about 1 hour of extreme exercise I felt pressure around my ears and the funny feeling around my neck, when I stopped it went away. I had this off and on for 6 six years. last year I had the same feeling after 15 minutes of exercise so I went to the doctor and had a stress test which was normal. I had also had a nuclear stress test 5 years ago. now after 15 or 60 minutes of exercise (1 out of 4 workouts) I get this same feeling it is very uncomfortable. I wonder if it could be angina but my stress test was normal and I dont have any heart related conditions.

Anon - It sounds like you're saying that you've pretty much ruled out this being a cardiac condition. Since your pain has involved the area near your ears, and your neck, have you considered seeing a neurologist? These doctors are trained in the diagnosis and treatment of nervous system disorders, including diseases of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles. A neurologist would take your medical history and perform exams focused on the nerves of the head and neck to determine whether some type of nervous system disorder is causing your symptoms. It sounds like the frequency is increasing so you should definitely pursue additional avenues to determine the cause. Please let us know what you learn.
