Q:

I have water on the brain according to my neurologist. We have not yet had an opportunity to discuss procedures. What can I expect to have to go through for this condition.

Hello, Anon! Thank you for your message.

Water on the brain (hydrocephalus) is an abnormal buildup of cerebrospinal fluid in the ventricles of the brain. The fluid is often under increased pressure and can compress the brain.  Your doctor will discuss treatment options with you.  Treatment depends on the severity.  A common treatment for hydrocephalus is the surgical insertion of a shunt to drain excess fluid. Below, is a good resource I can share with you.  Copy/paste the link.

We hope you feel better soon, Anon. Keep us updated.
