Q:

I haven't had a period since September, not pregnant. I have been having cramping, bloating, fullness in my abdominal, right thigh aches, and sharp pain near right ovary. I did go to my gyn last week. She did a pregnancy test and it was negative.

I explained to my doctor my concerns and she was really listening. She was trying to sell me the iud. She wanted to do blood work, but never did after I said I didn't want the iud. It was a horrible visit. I'm changing doctors, but don't have an appt for another 2 weeks. Do you have any clues what could be wrong with me? I also have been getting really bad indigestion. I am 33 years old.

Hi, Anon.

I'm glad you reached out to us.

We cannot diagnose you of course, but it's never normal for your period to just stop. Did the doctor do a pelvic exam? If not, I would mention this to your (new) doctor and ask that it be done. Blood work should be done also, and perhaps even an ultrasound. It's concerning that you are having sharp pains in your ovary, accompanied by bloating and indigestion. I'm glad you are seeing another doctor. You need to find out exactly what is going on. Keep us updated.
