Yes, it could be anxiety, from something going on psychologically, as you say you're in college with its stresses, etc.. But just want to point out also, that the cause for the anxiety could also be purely physical.

Those chest palpitations/heaviness and breathing problems, as well as brain fog, shaking/weakness were my first symptoms of Lyme Disease.

It took over 10 years and seeing many doctors until I finally got an answer. Tests are unreliable for this disease, so only a Lyme specialist can figure it out.

Whatever is causing these problems for you, I hope they figure it out soon. Please keep us posted.

Hi,
Have you been to your college or university health center, or your family doctor yet? Anytime you have chest pain, you should call your doctor immediately. Please make a call right now.

After you see your doctor, please come back and talk with us. I'm wondering if you may be feeling anxiety, as many of the symptoms you described are similar to an anxiety disorder or panic attack. If this is the case, there are many things you can do to help, and we're happy to provide you with this information.

Please call your doctor, or go to the health center, and come back to let us know how you are. We need to make sure you rule out anything more serious, before we talk about the other possible conditions and how to help.
