I took the emergency contraceptive about 7 to 8 times in three months after doing so i was informed to go on a regular contraceptive, i then took the depo provera injection, my friend now tells me that this can affect my fertility, is that true?

Thanks for your question. There is no proof or credible research that shows that the use of Emergency Contraceptives will cause fertility issues. I'm glad that you were informed the the ECP is NOT a form of contraceptive--since 7-8 times in three months is a lot of ECP usage. Please continue on your depo provera, and if you ever need to use an ECP again, you can...just make sure it's only for an emergency.
