Hi julissa miller,
If you had one of these periods after taking the emergency contraceptive, it means the pill was effective in preventing pregnancy.
If you had unprotected intercourse since the last period, and your period is late by at least seven days, take a pregnancy test. That is the way to know.

Hello julissa miller,
Welcome to the EmpowHER community?
Did you have two periods after taking the emergency contraceptive? Was one your expected monthly period? Did you have unprotected intercourse following these two periods?
Some women will experience changes in their menstrual cycle as a side effect of the pill. Their next period can start earlier or later than expected.
Julissa, in your situation, I suggest you contact your gynecologist or primary care physician regarding two periods in one month and now, a late period. Something is off with the hormones that regulate your menstrual cycle. It could all be linked to taking an emergency contraceptive.
