When Will I Get My Period? My Periods Are Sometimes Irregular. But The Past Couple Of Months They Were A 28 Day Cycle. I Got That Clear Stringy Discharge You Get When You Ovulate On 11/06/10 - 11/08/10. It 11/23/10 As Of Today And I Have Yet To Get My Period. Someone Please Help Me Figure This Out.

So I Gave In And Took A HPT At Midnight Cause I Couldnt Wait Till Morning (Nerves Were Getting To Me). There Was A VERY Faint Positive Line. The Paper Said That As Long As There Is A Positive Line, No Matter Faint Or Not, Its Still Positive. Is That True?

There is no set-in-stone schedule for women's bodies, but typically women ovulate about 14 days before their period begins. Some women ovulate earlier; some later.

What is a better indication is when your last menstrual period began, but since your periods are irregular, this cycle may be irregular as well.

Are you having any symptoms?
Are you worried about pregnancy?

The Day Of My Last Menstral Cylce Was 10/24 And I Ovulated Exactly 2 Weeks After That. So Do You Think This One Is On Track And I Should Start Soon? I Know You Said There Is No Set-In-Stone Schedule But All This Stuff Is Just Too Confusing.

Jessica12,
What is confusing, exactly? I can help answer some specific questions about how your body works.

No one is able to tell you exactly when your period will start. It just does not work that way; normal cycles are between 21-35 days, and women just need to know that their period will begin sometime within that range. It may even be outside of this range, and still be OK for that particular woman.

When to know if a period is not OK, or you need to see a doctor:
- missing 3 periods in-a-row
- symptoms such as extreme pain or excessive bleeding during period

Why are you so worried about the exact moment of your period beginning?

Are you using any type of hormonal contraceptive (the pill, for instance).

Let me know what you don't understand/what is confusing and I can try to help!

Its Confusing Because I Had Sex While I Was Ovulating. Im Not Too Worried About Pregnancy But I Was Trying To Figure Out When I Should Be Starting Before I Go Out And By A Test. Last Week I Was Nausious But Didnt Throw Up Except For Once. Yesterday And The Day Before That I Could Barely Even Move Without Wanting To Throw Up. Today Is A Little Better But Still A Little On The Nausios Side. And Im Not On Any Type Of Contraceptive. Im Also Cramping In The Abdoman Area, Below Where I Usually Have My Period Cramps. And About A Week After Ovulation I Was Extremely Lightheaded And Dizzy.

You can take a home pregnancy test now, since you are on Day 31 of your cycle. The test would be about 99% accurate at detecting any "pregnancy hormones".

I am not sure how you knew you were ovulating (there are ovulation predictor kits, but they are not 100% reliable). Either way, there is no "safe" time in your cycle to have sex; anytime you have unprotected sex, you are at risk for pregnancy (are you wanting to be pregnant, since you are tracking your ovulation)?

Let us know what your test says, if you choose to take one soon!

Well I Was Planning On Taking One Tomorrow Morning Or After Thanksgiving. I Knew I Was Ovulating Because Of That Clear Stretchy Discharge You Get When Ovulation Occurs. But No I Wasnt Trying. I Noticed After The Fact I Had Sex That I Was Having That Discharge, So I Read Up On It. But I Will Definitely Let You Know, Wether It Be Tomorrow Morning Or Friday Morning. Thank You For All Your Help.
