If I wear a tampon to go swimming while treating a yeast infection will it get worse?

Hello and thank you for choosing EmpowHer,
You can use a tampon if you really want to. However if you are using a cream or suppository treatment for the infection you should not use a tampon.
Also keep in mind that tampons can increase the risk of getting infections in the first place. So its best to avoid them until the infection is gone is possible.
But I one time use for swimming should be ok in general.
If you have already been to the doctor or are planning to go, do what the doctor instructs.
