If you are a parent, are you giving your child the swine flu vaccine?

I am not sure if I want to give my child the vaccine. If you are a parent, please let me know if you are giving your child the vaccine and why you made this decision. Thanks.

Anon, I am not a parent. But I am an aunt to a group of beloved nieces and nephews, and I'm very glad that they've all been vaccinated.

Why? Because children are an especially vulnerable group for this flu. They have no immunity to it. None of us has experienced this particular flu before, but those of us who have been around a while have built up immunities to other flus that may help us with this one. Children don't have that going for them.

What are you worried about, in particular, about the shots, Anon? Can I get you any information that might help you with your decision?
