Q:

If you have the flu are you contagious for 7 days or just until you finish tamiflu?

Someone who had the flu and took his 5 days of tamiflu said he was no longer contagious but I thought you were for 7 days no matter what.

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing. About three days after diagnosis/treatment, a person is generally not contagious, and they need to be fever free for 24+ hours. They still may not feel well but they are no longer contagious.
Best,
Susan
