If you tell a kid who is consistently making weird facial grimaces/tics to stop, and she stops, does that mean it is not tardive dyskenrsia?

Hello. Thank you for posting.

If you question the diagnosis of tardive dyskinesia, you need to speak to the child's doctor. We cannot determine this.

Tardive dyskinesia is often caused by long-term use of neuroleptic drugs, which are used to treat psychiatric conditions. Tardive dyskinesia causes repetitive, involuntary movements, such as grimacing and eye blinking.
