Can your period be delayed if you fool around like a week before your suppose to start your period?

Hi Anonymous,

It all depends. What do you consider "fooling around"?

You are most likely to become pregnant if you have unprotected vaginal intercourse five days before and on the day of ovulation. In general, ovulation occurs about 14 days after the last day of your last period.

Hi Anonymous,

Yes. As long as there was no penetration or ejaculation, you are okay.

Hi Anonymous,

So you understand, your vagina is inside of your body. If he only brushed against your external genitalia, the labia and vulva, without ejaculation, there was no risk for pregnancy.

Hi Anonymous,

Yes. Starting your period means you are not pregnant.

Hello Aubrey,

Though your periods have usually been regular, it is not abnormal for your menstrual cycle to vary in length from one month to another, especially when you have only been menstruating for a few years.

Stress, excessive exercising, weight gain or weight loss and even being ill can cause a delay in the start of your period.
