I just got a call from my OB and she is sending me to an Endocrinologist and my TSH level is 5.1. I have hypothyroidism. I was diagnosed in 1992 with Hashimoto's goiter and took meds until 1996 when I had my first child. My levels evened out and I have not been on any meds since then. I will see a specialist next week and will start meds again but am concerned for my baby's health.

You are very welcome! I know how it feels to be pregnant and worry about so many different things: from what to eat, what not to eat...all the way to being diagnosed with a medical condition and how to treat it (without harming the baby).

I would love to hear how your doctor appointment goes on Monday!
