Im having a Fentons Repair in a couple of weeks and have been told i will have a local anaeathetic!!!. Is the area frozen before the injection goes in ?Could i request a general ? Thanks

Hello and thank you for sharing your question.

Using local or general anaesthetic is usually a matter of doctor's preference.  So if you wish to have a general anaesthetic then you should definitely push for one.  Freezing the area is not usually a part of the procedure.
