Hi people... I'm actually a guy that want's to ask a question as I know you'll be able to help. Me and my girlfriend had unprotected sex on the 7th of July however she got her period the next week. Can we trust the period that she is not pregnant? How soon will her period stop,immediately? I did not cum inside of her and she is not on birth control pills. Believe me this will not happen again as this stress is not nice. Is there any way she could be pregnant or can I relax?

At least I did not cum inside of her, I hear many people say there is no semen in pre-cum and others say there is? She has her period so I need to relax hey?

Nice meeting you too,thanks for the advice. There has been some changes aswell in the last 2 weeks. She takes pills for achne and when she skips these pills her period starts,sometimes even in the middle of the month. This happened last week, and on tuesday her normal period started, the usual heavy bleeding and pains just as normal as ever. So that is a good sign then? As from yesterday she has enormous headaches,it happens but as bad as this time? Can that be any sign? She is on those pills that helps you regulate the time youre period should start and that was spot on the right time on tuesday when her period started, am I right in saying that even with those pills her period would have been late if she were to be pregnant?

I though ovulation occured around day 14?? Right in the middle of the period?

You are right, mostly. "Day 14" of a perfectly normal and perfectly regular 28-day cycle can be the time when many women ovulation. Ovulation can occur a few days before or after, and then knowing ovulation is a process that can take 12-24 hours, you would want to add a few more days before & after those days. That takes us to ovulation occurring between days 11-17, and again, that if women's bodies worked like clocks and did not react to their environment. Stress, new medication, intense exercise...you name it...can slightly change the cycle also.
This means, many women do not have "perfectly" consistent cycles each and every month. Many women also have cycles that are shorter or longer than "28-days".
As you said, ovulation occurs around the middle of the cycle, and a woman can be fertile anytime between days 8-19 of her cycle (with "day 1" being the first day of menstrual bleeding).

Yes, you can trust the period she had that she is not pregnant. Occasionally a woman who has gotten pregnant will have a period, but it is more like light spotting than an actual period.
Here's how a woman's cycle works:
1. Day 1 - Day 1 is the day a period starts.
2. When the period ends, the uterus starts building back up again.
3. Somewhere between days 7 and 12, usually: The woman ovulates. There's an egg ready to be fertilized.
4. If the egg is fertilized, it travels to the uterus and implants there. No more periods happen after this.
5. If the egg is not fertilized, it dies (within about 24-48 hours usually) and the uterus tissue will be expelled in another period, probably about 28-30 days later. And that's Day 1 again.
Sperm lives in the woman's system for between 3 and 5 days. So even if you were to have unprotected sex on, say, day 5, that sperm could live long enough to fertilize an egg from a woman ovulating on days 7-10. That's why you have to be careful both before and after ovulation.
