Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

Yes, it's normal to to feel fatigued.

People recover from heart attacks differently. Most will be back to their normal activities within a couple of months but often need to modify their lives. A lot of people who have heart attacks with do "cardiac rehab" after initial treatment including a heart healthy diet and exercise plan. This is done with the person's health care team. Many will need to take heart medication. While a person should get back to normal as soon as they can, there is no need to be a hero - rest is needed!

There are also emotional needs to attend too - fear of another heart attack is common and so are feelings of depression. A support group and supportive family/friend system is important.

Best,
Susan
