Q:

Is it okay to have unprotected sex after the end of my period?

My period began at 23rd/24th of May and the bleeding usually lasts for a week. I had unprotected sex a few days (around 2-3) after my period. My partner just stayed in my vagina for a few seconds and I asked him to remove his penis. This happened for a few days. I had sex unprotected again today, but my period calculator says that I'm ovulating. Am I at risk? (I have no idea if he had pre-cum or not. He did cum when his penis was already outside.) My periods have been regular and consistent as far as the dates are concerned, and I'm expecting it to come by the end (or towards the end) of this month.

Dear Anon,

There is no safe time during the month to have unprotected sex. There is a higher probability that you'd get pregnant mid-cycle, however this doesn't guarantee that you can't get pregnant at any other time of the month.

Please engage in safe sex if you are going to to practice it with your boyfriend.

Good Luck,

Rosa
