Is it possible yo get your period a week after your last one?

My period came on June 6th, and ended around the 12th. I took a pregnancy test at my clinic on June 2nd I believe, and was negative. I have been on the Nexplanon insertion for over a year now. My periods are sometimes quite irregular. But never have been a week apart. I have light cramping, similar to my usual period cramps. It started off light pink, almost watery. I took allergy medication yesterday. This morning when I woke up, I had moderate bleeding, very similar to a normal period. I also have been having unprotected sex, but I highly doubt that I am pregnant. Should I just wait it out and see what happens? What do you think?

Hi, Anon.

Thank you for your post.

It doesn't seem likely you are pregnant. Wait and see. This could be an irregularity, as you say. Or your period wasn't totally finished on the 12th. If you are concerned, mention it to your doctor.
