On July 3rd and 4th I did not take my Lybrel birth control. I had sex both days then resumed my pills the 5th. Now, 3 weeks later I am having cramping, very ligh spotting one day and I feel bloated.How likely am i to be pregnant? when can i test?

I have missed pills before and I have never had any cramping or 1 day of spotting before

Hi Katie,

We really cannot predict the likelihood of 'if your pregnant'. Anytime you have sex (even on the Pill), you are risking pregnancy. Let me ask you this...when was your last period? Once you actually miss a period is when you should test for possible pregnancy.

You also indicated that you missed your pills for two days...did you double up on both days to catch yourself back up (such as take two pills on the 5th and two pills on the 6th)? When you miss pills, it is common to have spotting and generally, this should not be a concern unless you are experiencing other symptoms such as sore breasts, morning sickness, etc. Are you experiencing any other symptoms besides spotting and light cramps? These symptoms sound like an early period.
