Hi Anon,

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community.

Irregular menstrual cycles are something that most women will experience at some point in there life. There are things like use of certain types of contraception, such as extended-cycle birth control pills, that will alter your menstrual cycle.

Have you recently started taking birth control?

Other causes of irregular menstrual cycle are; pregnancy, breast feeding, excessive exercise, extreme weight loss, fibroids, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome or Pelvic Inflammatory Disease.

Take a home pregnancy test to find out if the most common reason is the culprit. What is Your Cycle Telling You?

Take note of all the details concerning your menstrual cycle and make an appointment to see your doctor.

I hope this helps.

Be well,

~Gillette
