I am currently taking Logynon and have been having some bad side effects on it, this is my first month on it. There are only a few pills left in the pack so if i finish the pack and have my seven day break i should have a period during this time yeah?? then if i dont start a new pack after this will i have another period when i was originally meant to be due or will it be 28 days after? im scared i am gonna have 2 bleeds within the month as i am goin on holiday soon and dont wanna be on my period. Or will it be safer for me to start a new pack just in case i do bleed again and i'll just cope with the headaches.

Hi sarah32,
Thank you for your question and for being a part of the EmpowHer community.
Doesn't it just figure you would be due for your period when you're supposed to be going on holiday? If you're new to the pill, you may have a lot of questions, you should work closely with your doctor to figure out how to navigate things like holidays, and monthly symptoms, and make sure you're on the pill and method of birth control that makes most sense for you.
Every woman is different. If you're experiencing bad headaches, or other symptoms, your doctor may be able to help you decrease those. Give them a call. Here also is a sheet on the birth control and what you can expect when on one, in addition to general info.: https://www.empowher.com/media/reference/learning-about-birth-control-pills
There are many positives to being on birth control, such as regulated cycles, many experience lighter periods, and less symptoms of PMS. But as said before, everyone's diferent. Don't just stop taking your pills, talk with your doctor's office and figure out a solid plan.
Good luck, and let us know how you're doing or of you have additional questions.
