I finished my period last week Thursday & had sex the Friday ( I've been on the pill - Jasmin for a year now & the last time I took the pill was that Friday morning) which was unprotected. Friday, Saturday & Sunday I was fine but Monday morning I started bleeding again. at first I thought it was my period but I had finished it last week & I had a very heavy flow, clots were coming out & it was so much that when I go to the toilet some of the blood still remains after I have flushed. I have also been having dull/irritating cramps & dull back aches at the bottom of my back which makes it uncomfortable to sit for long & sleep. today the same thing is happening, heavy flow with cramps. I am going to see my doc but I would like to know if I could have gotten pregnant & if it's possible that I am having a miscarriage? in such a short amount of time? is that possible?

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for your question.  If you are on the pill and have not missed any days, it's unlikely you will be pregnant.  The pain can be due to other conditions, such as ovarian cysts, endometriosis and many other.  Just to be sure, you were not pregnant and had a miscarriage.  It's important to see an OBGYN. Hope this was helpful?

Best,

Daisy
